Congratulations on Varsity Win!

Congratulations to the Glastonbury Swim Team! We were victorious over a strong Windsor team yesterday with a score of 375 to 315. This win gives the Glastonbury Swim Team another undefeated season. Great job swimmers!

Trinity Practice Time Change

Beginning Monday, 1/30 - Trinity practice will return to its original time - 6:45 pm - 8:30 pm.
Mon. & Wed. GHS Practice Change

Town swim lessons have started again. Therefore, Monday & Wednesday swim team practice will return pre-Dec. schedule for the rest of the season. 
Mondays: Developmental A-K & Junior 1 from 5:15 - 6:30 pm    Wednesdays: Developmental L-Z & Junior 2 from 5:15 - 6:30 pm
USA Swimmers - Check your Escrow Balance

All USA swimmers should check their splash fee escrow balance. Each family must have enough in their fund to cover the remaining Short Course meets including Regional and Age Group Championships. Contact Steve Sang with questions. Checks (payable to GSPO) can be given to Steve Sang or Janet Linsey.

Two JV Meets This Weekend

There are two JV meets this weekend - both are at GHS.  Signup by Thurs. 2/2.

Sat. 2/4/12 - JV Pentathon
   Warmup 3:00 pm - Start 3:30 pm
All 12 & under swimmers with no "A" times are encouraged to attend!  This is an "all Glastonbury" meet.  All swimmers will compete in 5 events.

B Championship Entry Posted - Please Check

The B Championship entry is attached (at bottom).  Please check your swimmer's events and contact Coach Mark directly if there are changes or if you have questions.  (Note: the entry does not include relays.  If your swimmer is signed up for 2 events - they will likely swim 2 relays as well.)  If your swimmer qualifies for A Champs this weekend, they will be able to swim at A Champs if they prefer.

B Championships Info - Sunday, February 12th -  @ Springfield JCC

  •     Morning Session: 8 am warmup - 9 am start
             All 8 & unders and All 11/12s
  •    Afternoon Session:  1 pm warmup - 2 pm start
             All 9/10s and 13/14 girls

Please Be Considerate of Others

All swimmers, If you arrive early for practice, please be considerate of School staff and patrons of events in Gym. Please do not block halls with equipment, run,play or be loud out side offices, in Halls and lobbys. Please wait in the pool stands. All swimmers are also reminded to shower before entering water for practice. Thank You.

A & B Championships - What does that mean?

The Fall/Winter Rec Swim Season ends with two championship meets.  They are commonly referred to as A Champs and B Champs.  This concept is a little confusing, so GSPO put together a FAQ sheet.  Also attached below are the current "Best Times" report for all swimmers and the "A Times" for our league.  The "Best Times" report will be updated after each subsequent meet.  If after reviewing this information, you still have questions, feel free to talk to  Coach Mark or Galen.
